The Picnic

I went to a picnic on October 11 with other kids and their families. It was fun!!!!!!!!!!!

The picnic was in a huge park called Cubbon park. It is more like a forest then a park. There were big trees everywhere. There were some tamarind trees and tamarind fruit had fallen on the ground. I tasted a small piece. It was very very sour. The weather was cloudy and muggy. The ground was slightly wet from rains.

The first thing that me and the other kids did was go on a nature walk. We found many interesting things such as interesting and yellow flowers, 3 leaf and 4 leaf clovers, a twig that had another twig coming out if it, and something that looked like a bamboo stick. At the end of the picnic we painted using the things we found during the nature walk. I painted lava drops and gold raining on a plains biome. I also painted the results of the lava and gold rain. I lost one of my two paintings. :(

There was also an obstacle course. The first part of the obstacle course was to measure a jumprope with your feet, the second part was to run around the numbered trees in order, the third part was to kick a socer ball (foot ball) to my friend Seth's older brother Cade, the fourth part  was to do a thing called the Army Crawl, and the last part was to hit two balloons hanging from a tree with our fists.

Seth's dad showed us how to pitch a tent. He taught us how to hammer in the tent pegs. He also taught us how to attach the canvas to the peg. Once the tent was done everyone went inside the tiny tent - except for me.

We played many fun games. We played socer (football) and badminton. There were lemon spoon races. In a lemon spoon race, you have to put a spoon in your mouth and put a lemon on the spoon. The first person to reach the finish line without dropping the lemon is the winner of the race. We also played cops and robbers. I was one of the cops. There were only two robbers and three to six cops. So each cop did not much chance to catch a robber.

We played a game called Star. We each have four pieces of folded paper. We unfold them and if we have the same pieces of paper, we say star. You can't let anyone else see your paper. The first person to say star puts his hand on the ground. The others need to quickly say star and put their hands on top of the first person's hand. The first person gets the most points and the closer your hands are the clouds, the less points you get.

When it was lunch time we had a big lunch I had a roast beef sandwich, mango juice, vada pav, cucumbers and watermelons salad, and different types of rice. For dessert, there were chocolate chip cookies, brownies and lemon cake. The food was yummy. My favorite was the brownie.

All about Pokemon!

There is a series called Pokémon. It is my favorite series so I desided to write a post about pokemon. There are several Pokémon types.

1. Fire
2. Water
3. Grass
4. Electric
5. Flying
6. Ground
7. Poison
8. Bug
9. Normal
10. Fairy
11. Fighting
12. Psychic
13. Rock
14. Ice
15. Ghost
16. Steel
17. Dragon
18. Dark
19. ??? (Mystery?)

Certain types of Pokémon can evolve into other Pokémon. Pikachus can't evolve into Charmeleons. Pikachus can only evolve into Riachus. Riachus can't evolve into anything. Certain types of Pokémon can learn certain attacks. http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_moves.

There are Unevolved Pokémon, Evolution One Pokémon and Final Pokémon (Evolution Two Pokémon). Final Pokémon are at their final stage. They can't evolve. Evolution One Pokémon can only evolve once into Final Pokémon. Unevolved Pokémon can evolve into Evolution One Pokémon.

Unevolved Pokémon can be starter Pokémon (the first Pokémon you get). The three starter Pokémon are 1. Squirtle 2. Bulbasaur and 3. Charmander. Squirtle evolves into Watortle, Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur, and Charmander evolves into Charmeleon. The starter Pokémon's final stages are Blastoise, Venusaur and Charizard respectively.

The Bombe Hubba - The Dussera festival doll display

There is a big festival in India every year called Dussehra. In some parts of India, there is a festival called the Bombe Hubba (doll festival) as part of Dussehra and Navratri. I  learnt how to add links to my blog and have included links about these festivals.

I hosted a bombe hubba with my cuzins in their home. I made some things for the doll display. I made a Lego plane and put a Lego man on it. The plane was hung from a ceiling lamp so it looked like it was flying on top of the display.  I also made a mountain monster out of clay. He fought 3 or 4 Goddesses and 1 God. The Lego men were also fighting the Goddesses and God. The mountain monster's name is Everest. If he was real, he would be 54,00,000 feet tall.

The hubba was fun. I made 3 rangolis.  I ate many laddus. They were yummy. Some of my friends came to see the bombes (dolls) and I played with them. I played with my friend Seth. After he left, I played with my cuzins. We had a pillow fight. A few people got hurt so the pillow fight stopped.

After my friends left, I watched 2 videos. They were pony videos. There were 5 girls and only one boy (me) at that time and I did not get to chose any of the videos. This made me sad. If I did choose, we would have watched the Diamond Minecart Minecraft videos.

Everything was lit up.
There were flowers everywhere.
Everyone decorated their cars
and homes. We did too.

My rangolis are the ones at the bottom.

Jokes and other stuff

I lost a tooth. This is the fifth tooth that I lost. The tooth fairy came and gave me Rs.100 (1 dollar and 70 cents). Again I did not see her. I think her magic fairy dust keeps us asleep and wears out only after she is gone. I think she is an Indian tooth fairy because she gave rupees, not dollars.

I and my cousins went to a book store called Atta Galatta. They had a toy workshop. I made 3 toys and I learnt the science behind them. The first toy I made was a climbing dragon. I stuck straws on the back of the dragon's wings and pulled a long thread through each straw piece. When you pull the thread from the bottom of the straws, the thread rubs against straws. So it creates friction which makes the dragon climb the thread.

Me in Atta Galatta
The next toy I made - I have no idea what it is called. I'll just call it The Sheep and The Grass. I drew a sheep on one paper and grass on another paper. I stuck the papers on the two sides of a cardboard. I punched two holes on the two sides of the cardboard. I strung a thread through the holes. When I turned the thread, the cardboard spun, and when it slowed down, it looked like the sheep were in the grass. The science behind this is that your eyes store images for a few seconds before transferring it to the brain. So it looks like the sheep were in the grass.

The third toy I made was a catapult. They didn't really explain how a catapult worked. I think they ran out of time.
The toys I made

I like making up jokes. I have made up a lot of jokes. These are some of my favorites.

1. What do pineapples wear instead of glasses? Pinoculars

Mr. Pineapple

2. What is a fire monster's favorite fruit? Water"melt"on

Flamey, the fire monster eating water-melt-on in his magma house

3. What did the bell say to the other bell when he did a good job? Bell done

4. What was the first thing the spider did on his computer? Create a "web"site.
Mr. Spider Monster

5. What did the chicken say to all the other meat? Come tomorrow for our meating.

6. What did May say to June? "May" I borrow one of your holidays?

7. What is a cactus monster's favorite part of a meal? The desert.

Cute Baby Simbu

Cute Baby Simbu is a 2 year old lion cub. He is called Cute Baby Simbu because he is cute, he is a baby, and his name is Simbu. He is fluffy. I like to play with him. He sometimes jumps on my face. He can jump very high. He jumps backwards when he gets tickled. He also acts very silly when he feels water. He goes crazy.

He is very silly. He thinks he will grow up into a different animal when he grows up. Sometimes he thinks he will be a bird, sometimes a crocodile, sometimes a snake or a gorilla.

His favorite thing to do is to sit on my dad's shoulder. He likes sitting on people's heads. He likes feeling my grandmother's hair. He is not very interested in Mincecraft. Anyway, I don't think he should play Minecraft when he is this young.

He likes my cousins Sarayu and Samara. He also likes their stuffed toys (a rabbit and Mini Mouse). The three of us like to play with him. We spin around with him.

He learned how to eat two or three days ago. The first food he tried was steak. Since he is a lion, he likes steak very much. His favorite drink is milk. Actually that's the only drink he's tried.

I have had him for more than four years. But I like to believe he is only two years old. My dad answered a question correctly at work and the prize was Simbu. That is how I got him. He is my favorite stuffed toy.

WE MOVED TO INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We moved to Bangalore, India on Aug 27th. I was very sad to leave America.:-( The flight was very long and boring. I played games. Then we landed. It was really boring to wait for a taxi.

We reached my Ajji's (grandmother's) house. We stayed there for a few days. The internet connection was not good. It was hard to watch my videos. I met my cousins Sarayu and Samara and played with them. On the ipad.  Hehehe!

My Grandmother

We then moved to our apartment. I made a few new friends. Some of their names are Siddharth, Ryan, Shrikrishna, Rishi, Rishabh  and Pranav. I still miss my old friends. I like the Apartment. It's a nice place. There are two playgrounds, there's a swimming pool, there's a badminton court, there are basketball, tennis, and cricket courts, there's a room with indoor board games. It is a very safe place. I can go everywhere on my own. My mom and dad also like that they don't have to take me everywhere. I took my cousins Sarayu and Samara to the playgrounds. I started learning badminton from a coach. One class is over.

There are farms next to
our apartment where we
get our milk from. One day I
saw how the cows are
milked.

Me going on a walk
We took a small vacation at a nice place near our house. There were lots of trees and no traffic. We took long walks. We found interesting things. One of the things is called The Touch-Me-Not plant. When you touch the leaves, they fold up. We found different colored butterflies of many sizes. I saw a light green butterfly appear out of nowhere. We met a man who lives there who takes pictures. We also met his wife. They were nice.

There were jungles around us - like the Jungle
 Biome in Minecraft

We met a man selling peanuts. He gave us hot peanuts in a paper cone. He first roasted them in hot sand. This is an eco-friendly way to heat things. I learnt the word "eco-friendly" from one of Dan TDM's Minecraft videos. The peanuts were yummy

I picked a red font for this blog because India is hot, but the weather here is nice. I like India. But I still like America better. This is a nice place though.

Frozen Yogurt

The below post is old from when we were in New Jersey. I didn't publish it for a long time. I am now in India. I will publish a new post soon on India.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We moved from Trumbull to my mom's uncles house in New Jersey. We will stay here until we fly to India.

On Monday I went to a frozen yogurt place. The frozen yogurt I got was yummy. These are some of the toppings I got. 1. Gummy frogs 2. Sour Gummy Worms and 3. Rainbow Nonpareils. There is an oxymoron in the name of the shop. The name is "Cups Frozen Yogurt - That's Hot". Frozen yoghurt that's hot?

First I was sad :-( when I moved to New Jersey that I would miss Go greenly. Go Greenly is another frozen yogurt place in Trumbull. But now I am happy that I found a frozen yogurt place here. I know there are frozen yogurt shops in India too.

By the way, I picked a blue font for this post to go with frozen yogurt.

Getting ready to move to India

We are moving to India. So we are selling things. I am not happy that we are moving. Because in the selling process some of my favorite things will go away. My dad's imac was sold. I am sad because my game progress was lost. I miss the bed because it's funner to jump on the bed than on the sleeping bag.  I am also moving away from my best friend Alex. That makes me the most unhappy. We are moving because we need to spend more time with family. I'm excited about meeting my cousins in India.  Some of my Lego pieces are there in India.

My great grandmother passed away. She was very nice to me when I was a baby. She fed me and put me to sleep and she gave me baths when I was a baby. I miss her.

Busy week

I played Super Mario memory game with my mom and dad. I won the game. My pile of matches was bigger then my moms and my dads piles combineded. I placed  the cards in 8 or 9 colums and 8 or 9 rows.

I started to learn to type fast. I am currently learning how to type the home row keys. I almost finished lesson one. I am learning how to type fast so that I can code faster and type this blog faster. I want to learn to code so I can make mods in Minecraft. Minecraft is my favorite game.

I am bored of the taste of everything I eat at home so one day my mom desided to make crepes for breakfast. These are the ingredients: homemade plum jam, sour cream, flour, milk, eggs, salt, honey and butter. They were yummy. Me and Dino and Sword helped my mom.

Dino and Sword and me

My moms friend Alison came to my house. Her husband Joe and her baby Kaylie came to my house too. Kaylie was treating my Lego shaped piggy bank like a car. It was funny. Kaylie is kind of cute. I downloaded a game called dragon legends while they were here.

Kaylie's car
I opened my very own bank account. I am excited. Me and my mom went to the Trumbull bank to open the bank account. The name of the bank is Bank of America. It took a very long time to open the bank account. I put in $78.50 in the bank account from my piggy bank. I helped my mom put all the coins in rolls. It took a long time. I learnt about interest.
Me pretending to be Statue of
Liberty while waiting for my
bank account to open
On they way home we stopped at Go Greenly. Then we ate the Go Greenly. It was yummy.

Simply taro. Amazing and yet so different

I made up some more jokes. I illustrated two jokes. One joke is:

What did the earth dragon say to the very talented ice dragon?
"You are very cool!"

"You are so cool"

The next joke is:
What did the leader of the tooth alphabet say when he was missing two letters?
"TOOTH D, K, COME BACK!!!"
I got the idea for this joke from my typing lesson.

Tooth D K - Part 2

My cousin is sick

Sarayu
My cousin's name is Sarayu. She is in the hospital. She has Dengue fever (breakbone fever). She does not like medisin. She is silly some times. So am I. I am happy that she likes my jokes. I made a joke for her.

What is the last sentence of the story "The Three Little Apples?"
"They lived 'appily ever after."

I hope she feels beter soon. I am happy her twin sister Samara did not catch it.

Me with my new toys
Yesterday I went to New York City. I was very cranky and hot. I thought it was a bad idea to go to NYC yesterday. It was too hot.
We planned to go on a cruise. But instead we went to Toys R Us. I bought the Lion and Wolf Legend beast from the Lego Chima movie. I also bought two mixels. Their names are Flurr and Tentro. The previos  time I went to Toys R Us, I got a car and a mixel named Gobba. I also got Rogon's Rock launcher and Eagle's castle lego sets. We returned some of the things we got the last time.

Mixed up Mixel (Gobba +
Tentro + Flurr)
Rogon's Rock Launcher
Eagle's Casle

I watched world cub soccer on TV at Bryant Park. There were lots of people watching. They were cheering for US. "Go US". Belgium beat America and America was elimated. That was a sad moment for me.
The TV is the little green spot at the back
